Department Overview

The Faculty of Civil Engineering admits about 110 undergraduates each year through the entrance exam and there are currently about 450 undergraduates students. In addition, the College of Graduate Studies annually exams approximately 160 graduate students in the 10 fields of "Structural Engineering", "Earthquake Engineering", "Construction Management Engineering", "Geotechnical Engineering", "Hydraulic and Water Engineering", " Engineering and Water Resources Management "," Environmental Engineering "," Road and Transportation Engineering "," Transportation Engineering "," Coastal, Ports and Offshore Engineering" which currently has about 520 students are studying in the fields mentioned. The Faculty in 1994 in the fields of "Structural Engineering", "Earthquake Engineering", "Construction Management Engineering", "Geotechnical Engineering", "Hydraulic and Water Engineering", "Water Resources Management and Engineering", "Environmental Engineering", "Road and Transportation Engineering" and "Transportation Engineering" applied for a doctoral student admission test, with nearly 205 doctoral students currently enrolled in the college. Faculty of Civil Engineering with 39 full-time faculty members taking part in educational activities, research in the fields of structures and earthquakes, rock mechanics, soil mechanics, geotechnics, water and hydraulics, environment, water and sewage, concrete and building materials development have given.
