It is my great pleasure to welcome you as the head of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. This school, which is as old as the Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), has proudly graduated more than 5,000 undergraduate students, 4,000 master’s students, and 400 Ph.D. students. Our strength lies in the diversity of academic programs we offer, tailored to meet the needs of both academia and industry. The esteemed reputation of our graduates in industry and academia spheres reflects the high standards of education and research that we maintain. This success is due to our experienced and distinguished faculty members, diligent and talented students, and the dedicated support of our technical and administrative staff. Our scientific activities span six specialized fields:
• Structures and Earthquakes
• Geotechnics
• Construction Engineering and Management
• Water Resources Management
• Hydraulics and Environment
• Roads and Transportation In recent years, we have established two interdisciplinary majors, "Coastal and Port Engineering and Marine Structures" and "HSE Engineering" primarily in response to industry demand. The feedback from these graduates has been extremely positive. In addition, our Concrete Durability, Structure and Earthquake Research Centers, and the Environmental Research Institute play a significant role in bridging the gap between academia and industry. I hope that by joining our community at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, we will achieve greater advancements in various scientific and industrial fields in the future.
